Community Partners
Thurston County Project Access Partners Include:
All of our physicians and other healthcare providers
To date over 67% of primary care and specialty care physicians, as well as local physical therapists, mental health providers, acupuncture and massage therapists, medical equipment providers, interpreters, and many more are participating in our program.
Thurston-Mason County Medical Society – Volunteer Care Institute
Our parent organization has given us many in-kind donations, including space, equipment, and the many hours of their Director’s time.
Providence Health Systems
Providence St. Peter Hospital is an strong partner who has not only agreed to complete all of our inpatient/outpatient procedures, but is also providing us financial assistance, facilitating introductions to a variety of community partners, providing us a wealth of resources, as well as assisting us with short and long term planning.
Sea Mar Community Health Center
Our one Federally Qualified Health Center in Thurston County is very busy given the volume of patients it assists. Sea Mar has agreed to be our initial launch site, has worked on our operations sub-committee, steering committee, and has agreed to be a referred screening site for patients without primary care homes.
Neighborhood Free Medical Clinic
Our one Neighborhood Free Medical Clinic in Thurston County began operations in the summer of 2004, and they have become an excellent partner, donating their time, effort, and expertise as part of the steering committee, pharmaceutical committee, and operations committee. They have also agreed to be a referred screening site for patients without primary care homes.
Thurston County Health Department
This organization has pledged to assist us in measuring and analyzing important health and cost data that will allow Project Access and others to understand the true impact of the program. Their STD/Birth Control Clinic is also a referral site for Thurston County Project Access.
Planned Parenthood of Western Washington
Planned Parenthood is a referral site for Thurston County Project Access. Patients seen at Planned Parenthood who meet program guidelines can be referred into the program by Planned Parenthood medical staff.
Evergreen State College Health Care Clinic
Are you an Evergreen State College student who is low income, uninsured, and needs to see a medical specialist? The medical staff on campus can refer you into Thurston County Project Access.
Healthcare Policy Organizations
Washington Health Foundation and CHOICE Regional Health Network. These organizations have offered us their expertise in understanding the communities we serve and the healthcare safety net.
Volunteer Center
The Volunteer Center has kindly agreed to help TCPA patients access their volunteer network and assists patients in finding volunteer opportunities (we require that patients volunteer at least 20 hours every six months).
Refugee & Immigrant Center
The Refugee and Immigrant Center has many great contractors who offer medical interpretation services to augment our private interpreters. We expect many TCPA patients to be non-English speaking.
Other Project Access Sites
We are reaching out not only to other community organizations, but also to other Project Access organizations throughout the United States. We are working with the Spokane, Wichita, Anchorage, Evergreen Hospital, and Seattle Project Access sites and as part of the developing national Project Access Network.
