Meet the Thurston-Mason County Medical Society ­ Volunteer Care Institute Board. As the parent organization for TCPA, our Board plays an important role in reviewing our current status and guiding our future course. Board members include:

President Dr. Stephen Albrecht   Dr. Albrecht has been practicing in Thurston County for over 20 years with Olympia Family Medicine. He is past President of the Thurston-Mason County Medical Society, and has worked tirelessly to make TCPA a reality in Thurston County.

Board Member Dr. Dirk Havlak   Dr. Havlak is a Primary Care physician with Pioneer Family Medicine. Dr. Havlak has practiced in Thurston County for many years and is active in the community - working with the Neighborhood Free Medical Clinic and other organizations to participate in community solutions.

Board Member Dr. Rodney Joe   Dr. Joe has been practicing in Thurston County for over 8 years. He joined Dr. Albrecht early in the program’s creation and has worked on a number of important areas include the development of our pharmaceutical policy.

Board Member Dr. Laurie Sorenson   Dr. Sorenson is an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialtist with Olympia Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has practiced in Thurston County for many years and is the past President of the Providence St. Peter Hospital Medical Staff Council.

Treasurer/Secretary Ms. Susan Peterson   Ms. Peterson has been the Executive Director of the Thurston-Mason County Medical Society for over 13 years. She has worked to ensure regulatory compliance, fiscal accountability, and works with the program staff on a day to day basis to ensure that issues are resolved.
